Product Overview
The Jonard Tools VFL-150 is a pen-style visual fault locator designed to detect faults, breaks, bends, and poor connections in fiber optic cables. It emits a 650 nm visible red laser that allows technicians to visually trace fiber paths and pinpoint fault locations in both single-mode and multimode fiber. The VFL-150 operates at 1.5 mW output power and includes an FC/PC connector interface with a universal 2.5 mm ferrule adapter. An FC-to-LC adapter is included, enabling direct testing of LC-terminated fibers without a patch cord. The tool features three operating modes — continuous wave, 1 Hz pulse, and 2 Hz pulse — to aid in fault identification and fiber tracing. The compact pen-style body is designed for one-handed operation in the field.
